Building on this spirit of collaboration, ACI is preparing for Nigeria Cleanup Day, a nationwide coordinated environmental cleanup exercise scheduled for Saturday, 3 October 2026.
The initiative will take place across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), bringing together volunteers, communities, organisations, businesses and other stakeholders.
Nigeria Cleanup Day will go beyond physical cleanup activities. Participants will also engage in environmental education, responsible waste management, recycling awareness and climate action, helping to build stronger environmental consciousness within communities.
This Is More Than a Cleanup. It Is a Movement.
Nigeria Cleanup Day is an invitation to every Nigerian who believes that a cleaner and greener country is possible.
It is an opportunity to move from conversation to action — to take responsibility for our surroundings and contribute to the kind of Nigeria we want to see.
You can be part of this movement by volunteering, partnering, sponsoring or mobilising your community.
