Ola Oresanya

Ola Oresanya is a recognised authority in Waste Management and Environmental development in Africa.A BSC degree holder in Geology from University of Ibadan and MSc in Environmental Management & Ecology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. An Alumnus of Harved Kennedy school, Harvard University, Massachusetts USA.

He had a successful tenure as Managing Director/CEO of Lagos Waste Management Authority, (LAWMA) from May 2005 to August 2015. He is the managing director and Co-founder of Globetech Remedial limited. He is the lead Consultant to the Federal and several State Governments on Waste Management issues. He is presently a Special adviser to Ogun state Governor on the Environment matters

He served as member of the design review team of Keele Valley Landfill site, Ontario

Canada and supervised World Bank sponsored Lagos Landfill Site Design and Construction, Lagos. A part-time lecturer in Waste Management and Toxicology of  the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

He holds post-graduate diploma in Business Management from Merseyside Polytechnic, Liverpool, UK and has over 34 years post graduate working experience in Solid Waste Management with extensive specialization in project development and financing. He has been elected to several scientific academies including Nigerian Mining and Geo-science Society (MNMGS), Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Waste Management Society of Nigeria (WAMASON) among others. He served as the West African Regional Coordinator for Technical Working Committee on Medical Waste Management in ECOWAS sub-region, Board Chairman, Extended Producers Responsibility Organisation of Nigeria (EPRON), Board Member, Recycling Association of Nigeria (RAN) etc.

He participates actively in social and community developments. He is the Chairman of the Environmental committee of Remo Growth & Development Foundation and member of several social clubs.

He has received several local and international awards with honorary degrees for his works in sustainable Development in the Environment sector with emphasis on innovative solutions in Integrated solid waste Management. He has professionals and academic publications with over 500 professional papers on we waste management issues presented Locally and Internationally.

Dr. Eugene Itua

Dr. Eugene Itua is an established Sustainability/Saleguard expen over 25years’ experience that span virtually every sector of the eco programmes/projects supported by development partners such World Bank, IFC, etc.

He is  a member of UITP, the International Association of Public transport in Africa. The vast expert is the thematic Lead of Circular Economy and Natural Resources of the Sustainability Policy Commission of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group. He is a senior policy fellow, Institute of Green Growth Solutions-Accra and the College of Research Associates of United Nation University-Institute for Natural Resources in Africa. He is a board Member, Center for Climate Change and SDGs Igbinedion University, Nigeria.

Eugene was the Chairman, Panel of Experts in the Development of Nigeria Climate Change Bill for 8th National Assembly and is on Roster of Experts by the UNFCC for Nigeria, a Reviewer on UNEP GEO Environment Outlook (GEO 6). He is the Convener, West Africa Natural Capital Coalition Platform and a Circular Economy Institute (CEI) Ambassador

He is the CEO of Natural Eco Capital and leads the Company’s ECO Waste to Weatlh Projects in Edo State,  coordinates the company’s Strategic Alliance with United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa on Sustainable Financing of Our Future in Africa Program, Laurea University in Finland on Circular Economy and Carbon Trade eXchange (CTX), the world’s first wholesale exchange platform for Climate Finance “offsets’ (carbon credits) providing low cost UNFCCC verified offsets to fund projects solving climate change. Also coordinates the company’s membership of United Nations Global Compact, Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), Circular Economy Club Natural Capital Coalition and Climate Chain Coalition.

Fyneray Mbata

Fyneray Mbata has B.Sc. (Hons.) in Applied Science (Environmental Microbiology) from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology and PGD and MBA in Project Management from Federal University of Technology, Owerri. He holds a Master degree (MSc) in Disaster Risk Mgt and Development Studies from Universidad Azteca, Mexico. He has NEBOSH Diploma, Telecom Diploma, Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Certification, ISO – 9001 QMS, 18001, TL9000 QMS, 14001 EMS, 50001 Energy Mgt, 26000 Social Responsibility, 31000 Lead Risk Manager certifications and Agile Scrum Master Professional Certification, with two PhD (Honoris Causa) in Humanities (Ministry) and HSE & Sustainability. He is currently a Ph D Scholar in Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability with Triune University, USA.

Mbata has had extensive work experience in the field of Safety, Health and Environmental Sustainability across the oil and gas and Telecommunications industry while providing consultancy in community affairs security and sustainability management. Combining rich work experiences in Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC), to Mobile Telecommunications network (MTN), he has implemented world class policies in Community Affairs, Health, Safety, Environment, Security and Quality for over 30 years.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Sustainability Practitioners of Nigeria (ASPN), the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON), Chartered Institute of Risk and Safety Management (CIRSM), Emergency, Crisis and Risk Management Institute (ECRMI), Society of Environmental Toxicology & Pollution Mitigation (SETPOM) and Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators (IPMA). He is a member of several Professional organizations including Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Association of Environmental Impact assessment of Nigeria (AEIAN), Waste Management Society of Nigeria (WAMASON), E-waste Extended Producer Responsibility Organization of Nigeria (EPRON), Lagos Court of Arbitration, American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Fire Protection Association of Nigeria; to mention a few.

Fyneray sits in the Board of many professional Bodies, notably, Emergency, Crisis and Risk Management Institute (ECRMI), Professional Leadership Practitioners Institute (PLPI) as Director of Corporate Affairs, Programs & Communication, Center of Excellence for Innovation and Leadership (CEIL) as Deputy President, Chairman of the BoD and Chief Strategy Officer; and Centre for Safety & Security of Journalists and Media Practitioners, as BOT Vice Chairman. He co-facilitated the emergence of Telecommunication Technology Sustainability Working Group (TTSWG) and currently a member of EPRON Advisory Council Producer Registration and Enforcement Committee and Member, EPRON Advisory Council Education and Awareness Committee.

Fyneray is a motivational speaker, life coach and an avid promoter of voluntary humanitarian activities and community works. He is currently the Director of Communications of Divine Institute of Chaplaincy and the National PRO of World International Economic Group (WIEG) – a group which pursues sustainability, provides services to humanity and international social networks for networth socio-economic businesses.

Fyneray is currently the Managing Director/Principal Consultant of Fynexus Ltd, a business concern created to provide environmental resilience and sustainable business solutions to both private enterprises and governmental MDAs.

Bekeme Masade-Olowola

Bekeme Masade-Olowola is a well-respected sustainability and communications entrepreneur. A social entrepreneur, she is the Chief Executive of CSR-in-Action, a group made of a consulting firm, a think tank and a training institute dedicated to corporate social responsibility, policy development, advocacy, empowerment and sustainable development in the region. Under Masade-Olowola, CSR-in-Action has promoted sustainable measurement and reporting using the GRI framework, specifically, since 2011, and has catalysed the growth of sustainability adoption and transparency in the region through consulting, training and advocacy interventions.

CSR-in-Action produces the pioneer sustainability investment report in Nigeria The Collective Social Report: Nigeria (now The Corporate Sustainable Investor Report), endorsed by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and supported by United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in 2012; a first of its kind compendium which includes a rating of business sustainability performance.

Masade-Olowola helped establish the Business Coalition for Sustainable Development Nigeria (BCSDN) in May 2014, an initiative affiliated with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), made up of a coalition of leading businesses across all sectors to drive collective development. She has engaged stakeholders throughout the economic value chain – government, business, civil society organisations and communities – and recently spearheaded the design and development of a Community Engagement Standards framework to facilitate the Federal Government agenda for promoting peace through equity in oil and gas communities in Nigeria.

She is on the board of several non-profit and for-profit organisations and is convener of the annual Sustainability in the Extractive Industries Conference, the largest development focused gathering for extractives now in its eighth year, and producer of The Good Citizen Radio Show.
