Organisation Profile
African Cleanup Initiative(ACI) is a non-governmental Organisation that is passionate about raising environmentally responsible citizens in Africa. Our major activities include environmental sanitation, environmental education/advocacy, environmental Health & community development.
Since her inception in 2010 as Passion House, we have been promoting communal & corporate cleanups and sensitization projects till 2017 when it was incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the name was changed to African Cleanup Initiative.
Due to our trackable years of experience in the environment and sustainability sector, we have birthed several eco-friendly projects like Cleanup Naija Project, Green Independence Cleanup (GIC), Lagos Cleanup Challenge (LCC), Recyclespay Educational Project, Bottles for Pads & Diapers, Green Footprint Project, Beyond Waste Project, Recycling Empowerment & Advocacy Project (REAP), Clean for Impact Project, Sabimidwife, African Cleanup Academy, African Cleanup Magazines and Conferences & Awards, etc.
African Cleanup Initiative is geared toward engaging citizens of communities in Africa to be committed to environmental sustainability and also the actualization of the 17-point UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We understand that the government cannot shoulder this huge responsibility this entails. We, therefore, are keen to actively leverage opportunities that will promote ‘Green’ leadership and reduce negative impacts on the environment.
